In short...
Classically trained cello player, eclectic and passionate musician, Sébastien discovers the guitar through Django Reinhardt's music at age 19. Composer & arranger for Norig or Sébastien Giniaux Trio, he collaborates with artists that have really different musical orientations, such as Taraf de Haidouks, David Reinhardt or Téofilo Chantre...
About Selmer #607...
The Selmer #607 has the sound, it projects really well and you can explore the tone on a great extent. This project was a way of getting us together, each one with his own style and talent. The vibe got us to do great things. The violin player I've chosen to invite, Guillaume Singer, has a modern phrasing but also masters the swing, that old sound.

![]() This Selmer guitar, serial #607, has been manufactured in september, 1946 and is by all means similar to Django Reinhardt's Selmer, the #503, exposed at 'La Cité de la Musique', in Paris.
" The Selmer guitar is, and for quite a while now, the preferred instrument for gypsy swing musicians. It became the absolute reference because Django adopted it. It is now part of his style. All guitarists playing this style of music then dreamed of having one or even playing one. Some had this chance, the others played the numerous copycats made since the mid 30's. And the magic works here with the Selmer, serial #607 of 1946, used on this record. Listen closely, and the presence of this guitar will be just an evidence. It's tone, depth, precision make it unique and among the best of it's kind. Whoever the solo player on this record, the Sound is here, as the myth."
